Courses with eligibility criteria for MBBS
Eligibility to appear in NEET (UG) – 2021
Eligibility for appearing in NEET (UG), as per related Regulations of NMC and DCI are as follows:-
- He/she has completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before 31 December of the year of his/her admission to the first year Undergraduate Medical Course.
- The candidate must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology at the qualifying examination as mentioned in the Regulations of NMC and DCI. in addition, they must have got a rank in the merit list of NEET (UG) – 2021 for admission to Undergraduate Medical Courses.
- In respect of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes (NCL), the minimum marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology taken together in qualifying examination shall be 40% marks instead of 50% marks for Unreserved and General-EWS Candidates. Courses with eligibility criteria for Pharmacy
BACHELOR OF PHARMACY (B.PHARM.)
Passed 10+2 examination conducted by respective states/Central Government Authorities recognized as equivalent to 10+2 examination by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with English as one the subject and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (P.C.M) and /or Biology (P.C.B / P.C.M.B) as optional subjects individually ; and obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the subjects ‘Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology taken together’.
MASTER OF PHARMACY (M.PHARM.)
Passed B.Pharm Degree examination from an Indian University established by law in India from an institution approved by Pharmacy Council of India and has scored not less than 55% of the maximum marks (aggregate of 4 years of B.Pharm) (50% for the reserved category candidates).
For candidates having not less than 5 years professional experience, after passing B. Pharm course, there shall be a relaxation in pass percentage from 55% to 50% for admission to M.Pharm programme.
Every student, selected for admission to the Post Graduate programme in any PCI approved institution should have obtained registration with the State Pharmacy Council or should obtain the same within one month from the date of his/her admission, failing which the admission of the student shall be cancelled.
The candidate having valid GPAT Score can apply and shall get preference in selection.
Note : It is mandatory to submit a Migration Certificate obtained from the respective University where the candidate had passed his/her qualifying degree (B.Pharm)
INTEGRATED M.SC. (BIOTECHNOLOGY)
Passed 10+2 Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany / Zoology as subjects with a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for candidate belonging to reserved category).
M.SC. (BIOTECHNOLOGY / NANO SCIENCE & NANO TECHNOLOGY / MEDICINAL & AROMATIC PLANTS / MOLECULAR BIOLOGY)
Passed Bachelor degree in Science / Agriculture / Pharmacy / Veterinary / Engineering & Technology / Medicine (MBBS/BDS) / Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics or equivalent from any recognized University with atleast 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC category).
M.SC. (CHEMICAL BIOLOGY & DRUG DESIGN)
Passed B.Sc. with Chemistry (Honours) / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering / B.Pharm / M.Pharm with atleast 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC category).
Courses with Eligibility criteria for Agriculture
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (AGRICULTURE)
Pass 10+2 with not less than 50% marks in aggregate with Physics and Chemistry along with Biology or/and Mathematics with condition that candidates coming from different streams must take remedial courses as prescribed, for General and OBC categories, and 40% marks in aggregate for admission under SC, ST and PH categories. Candidates must have passed in English 10+2 examination. Age Limit: The lower age limit is 17 years as on 31.12.2021.
MASTER OF SCIENCE (AGRICULTURE)
Pass B.Sc. (Agriculture) / B.Sc.(Horticulture) from any recognized University by State and Central Government Marks in qualifying examination.
Candidate should have OGPA 6.5 and GPA 7.0 in concerned discipline on 10 point scale.
Candidate belonging to SC/ST/PH shall have OGPA 5.5 and GPA 6.0 in concerned discipline on a 10 point scale.
The requirement of minimum percentage of marks (OGPA/GPA) as indicated above shall not be applicable to the candidate sponsored by State Government/ Central Government/ Nominee of ICAR.
Minimum age limit is 21 year as on 31.07.2021. No relaxation in age limit.
ICAR / Departmental candidates sponsored by State Govt. and Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (Deemed to be University) employees to be admitted as in-service candidates are exempted from appearing at Entrance Examination.
Courses with Eligibility criteria for Management
BACHELOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (BBA)
Passed 10+2 examination or equivalent in any stream.
INTEGRATED MBA (5 YEARS)
Passed 10+2 examination. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examination.
MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION(MBA)/MBA (HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATION)
Passed Bachelor Degree of minimum 3 years duration. Obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examination.
Courses with Eligibility criteria for Law
5 YEARS INTEGRATED LAW (B.A.LL.B- HONS/B.B.A.LL.B – HONS)
Pass the 10+2 or equivalent in any stream with at least 45% marks. Relaxable to 40% in case of SC/ST and 42% in case OBC. There is no upper age limit at present, however it is subjected to the decision of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and BCI notification in this regard.
CLAT / LSAT qualified candidates are exempted from the entrance test, but they have to fill up the form.
3 YEARS LAW (LL.B – HONS)
Pass the +3 or equivalent in any stream with at least 45% marks. Relaxable to 40% in case of SC/ST and 42% in case OBC. There is no upper age limit at present, however it is subjected to the decision of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and BCI notification in this regard.
MASTER OF LAW (L.L.M.)
Pass Bachelor degree in Law or studied Integrated Law courses or equivalent thereof, from any recognized university.
CLAT / LSAT qualified candidates are exempted from the entrance test, but they have to fill up the form.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (NURSING)
Passed 10+2 examination (2021) with atleast 45% marks in aggregate (Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together) and 40% marks in aggregate for SC / ST / OBC candidates and must have passed in English.
Age Limit : The lower age limit is 17 years as on 31.12.2021.
POST BASIC B.SC.(NURSING)
Passed GNM examination, and registered with concerned State Nursing Council.
MASTER OF SCIENCE (NURSING)
Pass B.Sc. Nursing (Basic/Post Basic) Degree with 55% aggregate from an Institution recognized by Indian Nursing Council with a minimum of one year experience either in teaching or clinical area after registration in respective State Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife.

BACHELOR OF HOTEL MANAGEMENT & CATERING TECHNOLOGY (BHMCT)
Passed 10+2 examination in any discipline with atleast 45% marks (40% in case of SC / ST / OBC category)
BBA (HONS) IN HOSPITALITY & CULINARY ARTS
Passed 10+2 examination in any discipline with atleast 45% marks (40% in case of SC / ST / OBC category)
MBA IN HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT
Pass minimum three years of Bachelor Degree in Science, Commerce and Arts / BHMCT / BBA examination or equivalent, from any recognized University with at-least 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category).
Courses With Eligibility criteria for M.Sc. (General Sciences)
PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, AND MATHEMATICS
Pass at Bachelor degree in Science Physics (Honours) / Chemistry (Honours) / Mathematics (Honours) or equivalent respectively from any recognized University with atleast 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC category).

HOSPITALITY AND TOURISM MANAGEMENT
MHMCT/MHM/MMTM/MBA(HM/TM), M.Com/ MA (Tourism /history/geography) or in relevant discipline with CGPA 6.75 or 60 percent of marks in aggregate.
MEDICAL SCIENCE
MD/MS in relevant discipline with 6.75 CGPA or 60 percent of marks in aggregate. MBBS (Medical Science with 6.25 CGPA or 55 percent of marks in aggregate. M. Sc.in Medical science and in Clinical Psychology, Mater in Occupational Therapy with 6.75 CGPA or 60 percent of marks in aggregate.
DENTAL SCIENCE
MDS in relevant discipline with 6.75 CGPA or 60 percent of marks in aggregate. BDS (Dental Science) with CGPA 6.75 or 60 percent marks in aggregate.
PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES
M.Pharma in relevant discipline with CGPA 6.75 or 60 percent of marks in aggregate.
LAW
LLM in relevant discipline with a minimum of 6.75 CGPA in a 10 point scale or 60 percent of marks in aggregate.
BIOTECHNOLOGY
M.Sc in Biotechnology or relevant discipline with CGPA of 6.75 or 60 percent of marks in aggregate.
CIVIL ENGINEERING
M.Tech/ M.E or Equivalent Degree in the concerned branch with CGPA of 6.75 or 60 percent of marks in aggregate. B .E/ B.Tech. /AMIE in any branch of Engineering or its equivalent with CGPA of 7.75 or 70 percent and above marks in aggregate and one publication in a reputed National Journal and one in reputed International Journal and minimum work experience of 2 years.
COMPUTER SCIENCE & ENGINEERING
M.Tech/ M.E or Equivalent Degree in the concerned branch with CGPA of 6.75 or 60 percent of marks in aggregate. M.Sc. degree in Physics (any specialization) with CGPA of 6.75 or 60 percent of marks in aggregate.
CENTER FOR BIO FUELS AND BIO PROCESSING RESEARCH CENTER
M.Sc degree in Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology or in relevant discipline with CGPA of 6.75 or 60 percent of marks in aggregate.
Please Note:
- The candidates belonging to SC/ST category shall be given a relaxation of 5% marks at Master level.
- Any mandatory regulation periodically notified by the UGC shall be applicable.
B.Sc. IN PARAMEDICAL COURSES
The technicians are either under qualified, diploma holders or lack the skills to cope with the blooming technology. The courses offered here provide the platform to fit into the systems and to grow in the knowledge as it guides to pursuit of excellence.
Usually such technical course aren’t available in todays date in this Odisha and we at SOA University have launched it for the first time. All these courses have been available only as a diploma degrees since the requirement bar has been raised the need for a bachelors degree in medical technology has emerged.
With the current health care industries hiring professionals in technical field this courses could offer the right candidates who would offer the right solution for the current medical requirements.
INTERNSHIP
10 students of each batch will qualify for salaried internship at SUM Hospital for 1 year(as per marks obtained)
